Organic Custom Henna
temporary organic tattoos in the tradition of Mehndi with a modern flare
Frequently asked is 'How long does the tattoo last?'
A: The tattoo is actually a stain left by the organic essence of the Henna root. All Henna Artists use a unique recipe of Henna extract and essential oils,
which means that the pigment will behave differently wherever you get it. Also, since all skin types are different, the stain will last different times on differnt people. If you exfoliate your skin a lot, the top layers of skin will carry the stain away faster, so it might be 3-4 days of intense pigment.
Not only is getting a Henna Tattoo completely pain-free, it is actually a deeply relaxing, meditative experience. The mixture is technically a form of 'mud,' applied to your skin with the precise skills of an artist. What you experience is a sensational cooling experience reflecting the pattern or design which you asked the artist to give you.

Caring for your Henna tattoo is only demanding during the first 2-5 hours immediately after receiving it. The liquid mixture immediately begins to 'dry,' and during this process the skin cells are absorbing the pigment. The longer you leave the mixture pattern on your skin, the more deeply the stain will penetrate and last. But, to achieve this, you must exercise care that you don't rub your clothing or purse-straps against it. If it smears, you want to wash the entire pattern off, and ask your Henna Artist to re-apply the design (there will be faint stains which make the application much faster to re-apply). You do this because if it smears, the stain will begin taking on the form of the smear, rather than the intricate pattern you originally sought.
